PROBLEM
The wheel moves. The chassis should not know about it.
SOLUTION
The Pushrod Suspension is a progressive inboard rocker arm suspension assembly derived from Traxxas Revo 3.3 competition geometry, adapted for payload-critical ground vehicle platforms where vertical wheel travel must be absorbed before it reaches the cargo layer. The pushrod transfers wheel displacement inboard to a horizontally mounted spring-damper unit, removing the spring from the wheel-end assembly entirely and placing it where it can be tuned, replaced, and upgraded without disassembling the wheel. Progressive rate geometry means the spring rate stiffens non-linearly as travel increases — compliant over small surface irregularities, firm at the limit of travel, and resistant to bottoming under full payload at speed. Stroke rate and spring rate are configurable across the documented range without tools at the linkage adjustment point, which is accessible, which is not always the case with suspension systems of this type and which the design team considered a minimum viable requirement and not a bonus feature. The system is tuned for the 28.0001 mph operational envelope with a cheeseburger payload. It has not been tested at 28.0002 mph. It will not be tested at 28.0002 mph.
