The hemispherical base plane mounts flush against any flat or curved substrate via adhesive bond, mechanical fastener, or friction fit depending on the deployment environment and the operator's commitment level. The oblate geometry — flattened at the base, projected at the apex — maximizes forward surface area for impact distribution while maintaining a low enough profile to avoid snagging, catching, or becoming a secondary hazard in the event the primary hazard has already occurred.
